Review Munch is a data intelligence platform built for restaurant owners overwhelmed by customer reviews. The platform empowers owners to identify sentiment trends, assess competitors, and take targeted actions through a unified, AI-driven interface.
Challenge
Local restaurant owners face major inefficiencies in managing customer feedback and market positioning. Key issues included:

Solution
We developed Review Munch, a full-featured platform that makes feedback analysis simple, strategic, and smart:
- Review Aggregation: Uses Surf API and scraping to pull reviews from Google and TripAdvisor, storing them in PostgreSQL and Pinecone.
- Smart Dashboard: Shows ratings, sentiment trends, and key phrases with a clean Tailwind CSS UI.
- Competitor Benchmarking: Automatically detects 5–6 similar restaurants and compares ratings and themes.
- AI Assistant: GPT-4o chatbot answers questions like "What’s hurting my rating?" using vector search + context grounding.
- Feedback Loop: Users can rate AI responses to help improve future suggestions
- Restaurant Onboarding: Search by name/location and claim or auto-fetch listings for frictionless setup.
